we are an innovative architecture studio that is committed to sustainable construction with a focus on contemporary residential design. we believe that each project should benefit its environment through the creation of adaptable, relevant, timeless and meaningful buildings and spaces.

we work closely with our clients to form an approach that is tailored to the project context, budget, and the realization of each property’s best potential. ranging in size, our projects include smaller residential renovations to larger mixed-use residential developments. regardless of project size, we take each project through the challenging steps from design conception and development, budgeting, permitting, bidding/negotiation, and through construction.

mike pitler is california registered architect and brings over 15 years of design, construction, and real estate development experience to his diverse clients.

prior to forming [mp-a], mike worked as a project architect for some renowned san francisco architects including david baker + partners architects and hauser architects where he led or participated in the development, design, and construction of a wide variety of large, mixed-use residential projects located throughout the san francisco bay area.

mike received his master's of architecture degree from the university of california at berkeley in 1999 and his bachelor's of architectural studies degree from the university of illinois at urbana-champaign in 1997.

mike is also the founding principal of dwellwell group, a real estate development company focused on creating innovative and sustainable residential projects that are centered in urban, transit-oriented neighborhoods. they have completed the development of two 4-condominium developments serving as the both the owner/developer and general contractor. currently they are focused on consulting for some significant san francisco residential developments.
